Signs of Ireland Tea Towel

Creating this tea towel has been my labour of love for the island of Ireland!

The photographs have been taken over the last 25 years on my countless visits to family & extended road trips the length and breadth of the island. From Ballybogey (Antrim) to Termonfeckin (Louth) via Effin (Limerick), Gaggin (Cork), Muff (Donegal), Nobber (Meath) and 18 other places in between!

Each image includes the County plus etymologies of the original Gaelic name which was subjected to colonial phonetic transliterations, resulting in unusual, funny, bizarre & sometimes downright rude place names.

This 100% Cotton tea towel measures 76 x 48cm and is machine washable at 40 degrees. Because it is screen printed, the design will remain unfaded for a lot longer than more common digitally printed tea towels
